After playing 'The Queen of Hearts' in school, aged seven, Andrew waited fifty years for his second performance - frantically costume-changing for five minor roles in DAVID COPPERFIELD (Waiter, Vicar, Bottle Washer, City Gent, Yarmouth Fisherman). The acting bug bit, and further productions since then include REBECCA (William Tabb), IMPROBABLE FICTION (Arnold), THE WEIR (Jim), TWELFTH NIGHT (pictured left as Feste), I'LL BE SEEING YOU, THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL (Sir Peter Teazle) Teazle), CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (Doc Baugh), SEVEN WORDS FOR LOVE, DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Jack), THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA (Herr Fahrenkopf) and AN AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY LARK (Jim Haworth).

In 2015 he directed THROUGH THE BLOOD TO GREEN PASTURES at the Alan Howard Theatre and contnued his involvement with WRiTE ON which encourages new drama writing in Cambridge, staging rehearsed readings of new work.
