CAMBRIDGE DRAMA FESTIVAL 2009

HOW  OUR  FESTIVAL  RELATES  TO  OTHER  FESTIVALS

It is possible for a team to go on from Cambridge (which is an AEFT 'Stage One' Festival) to greater things!

All local teams are eligible to go through to later AETF rounds by payment of a small extra charge with their entry fee.  The highest placed team of those opting to go forward represents Cambridgeshire in the next round - the Divisional Final - where they meet the winners of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire one-act play Festivals.

The National Drama Festivals Association Final is rather different.  It comprises both full-length and one-act plays and a place in the Final is given by invitation.  The invitations are carefully considered by the NDFA committee each year and to to a selection of teams from around the country who have been given high marks by adjudicators in winning a festival.  All teams entering a local festival are eligible and there is no special procedure for entry.
