Chris made his debut for Bawds in the title role of NICHOLAS NICKLEBY, THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP (Christopher 'Kit' Nubbles) and THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL (Sir Benjamin).

Appearances for other companies in his native Lincolnshire include BLACK COMEDY (Brindsley - a role he reprised in Cambridge, with Bottisham Players in 2008), PRIVATE LIVES (Elyot), RICHARD II (Northumberland), THE GLASS MENAGERIE (Tom) and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Lysander). Roles in productions whilst at Keele University include DEATH OF A SALESMAN (Happy), THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS (Silvio), THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Vincentio) MARAT SADE (The Marquis de Sade), KING LEAR (The Duke of Albany), LES JUSTES (Boris) and THE TROJAN WAR WILL NOT TAKE PLACE  (Demokos) - the last two plays performed in the original French. Other productions include BAREFOOT IN THE PARK (Paul), ARSENIC AND OLD LACE (Mortimer), THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY (Dorian Gray), ROMEO AND JULIET (Romeo), BOUNCERS (Les) and ARCADIA (Ezra Chater).

Other productions since moving to Cambridgeshire include MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Angelo) THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST (Jack Worthing) the title role in HAMLET, THE TEMPEST (pictured above as Ferdinand) and WAITING FOR GODOT (Lucky). Chris has also directed a double bill of OVERRULED and A PHOENIX TOO FREQUENT and AS YOU LIKE IT. He wrote, directed and appeared in THE HISTORY OF BRITAIN (2000 YEARS IN 2 HOURS) which was presented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Other writing credits include A MUSE'S WILL at the Cambridge One Act Drama Festival; the play was submitted for the George Taylor Memorial Award for One-Act Playwriting. Other writing credits include BROKEN SOLDIER (Robert).

Chris directed several plays before moving to Cambridge; these include NO EXIT, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, OLEANNA, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, WHAT THE BUTLER SAW and HABEAS CORPUS. He also directed PLAYHOUSE CREATURES for Bawds. Other directing credits in Cambridge include THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA.
