THE ADC THEATRE - Located in Park Street, Cambridge, Britain's oldest university playhouse set up in 1885 and still going strong. The theatre has its own FREE online booking system. Telephone bookings 01223 300085.
AS MAGAZINE - The only national monthly magazine for amateur and community theatre. It provides practical, up-top-date news, information and opinion for all those actively involved (in any capacity) and is widely read within dramatic and operatic societies nationwide.
COMBINED ACTORS OF CAMBRIDGE - Like Bawds, Combined is an amateur drama production company. The many actors, directors and technicians in and around the Cambridge drama scene participate in both groups' productions. This link is to their new website, which includes a picture archive of previous productions as well as the company's latest news.
WRITE ON
A group of writers, actors and directors producing new dramatic writing in
Cambridge. Their work involves staging rehearsed
readings and occasional full productions of new work, as well as organising
script feedback sessions and professionally led workshops.

THE PENGUIN CLUB - The Penguin Club exists to provide backstage support to amateur societies in and around Cambridge. All its members are amateur: no charges, other than expenses and a small running fee, are made to the societies they help. Within its membership there are Set Designers, Lighting Designers and Sound Engineers. It will put a call out for Crew, has several SMs and ASMs and experts in Props. It attempts to provide as much Technical backup as required for the successful staging of a society's performances.

UK THEATRE WEB - Promotion of professional and amateur performing arts information from all over the UK. Publishing in association with What's on Stage, the site provides listings, pointers to club pages, Little Theatre Guild information, tickets, books, CDs, gossip, competitions, gaffer links and more.
THE STAGE - Official site of the newspaper of the entertainment world. Articles, listings, news, reviews and just about anything else you can think of to do with the performing arts!
DRAMATISTS PLAY SERVICES INC. - If you want to find out about the latest American play releases, this is a good place to start. One very good feature on this site is the Playfinder service which allows you to feed in your cast specifications and then produces a list of possible productions for your consideration. You can also order scripts online through a secure server from this site. Well worth a visit.
THE FESTIVAL PLAYERS - A group of enthusiastic amateur performers who currently produce one major musical production each year. Also stage a variety of workshops, concerts and social events.
THE JUNCTION - Presents a varied programme of amateur and professional productions. Regular features include workshop sessions, classes and children's theatre. This popular and well-supported Cambridge venue has comfortable seating (reasonably priced) and a bar.
WATERBEACH COMMUNITY PLAYERS - A village group which encourages membership not only from Waterbeach but also from further afield. Please visit the company's website.
GIRTON PLAYERS - A village theatre group, formed in October 1995. The group stages two or three productions a year at the Glebe School in Girton and, on occasions, Impington Village College. The group has also participated in the Cambridge Drama Festival with some success. Holds open auditions for its productions.
THE OVER PLAYERS - an amateur group established over 20 years ago specialising mainly in musical theatre, pantomime, farce and music hall productions.
THE YOUNG ACTORS COMPANY

18 years old with as wide a range of acting skills and performance opportunities
as possible.
HORSESHOE THEATRE COMPANY - a professional company committed to excellence, serving the community and in particular secondary schools. The company stages modern classic dramas from the A Level and GCSE curriculum at theatres in Cambridge. It also takes master classes and workshops into schools.
ST JOHN'S PLAYERS - St John's Players are a
long established theatre group, formed in 1947. The
group stages three productions a year at the Fulbourn Centre, Fulbourn. It holds
open auditions for its productions, and new members are always welcome.

ST NEOTS PLAYERS - Formed in the 1920s, The St Neots Players began by meeting in members home. Now, they are an award-winning non professional drama group staging over 3 productions per year.
THE CLAVERING PLAYERS - Originally formed in 1949 as a concert party, the company adopted its current name in 1959. It is now one of the leading drama companies in the area.
COTTENHAM THEATRE WORKSHOP - a well-established village company that presents three shows a year.
DRESS CIRCLE COSTUMIERS - Based in Witham, Essex, this company has a large and varied stock of costumes and reasonable hire charges.
CAMEO THEATRE COMPANY - A Cambridge based group specialising in touring productions which are mainly presented in local churches.
SHAKESPEARE AT THE GEORGE - A Cambridge based group specialising in Shakespeare productions on an annual basis at The George Hotel in Huntingdon.
WILLINGHAM STAGECRAFT - Willingham StageCraft is an amateur dramatics group based in Willingham, Cambridgeshire. The group aim to put on two shows a year: a Christmas pantomime or play, and a summer production. The group are very versatile and have several locations around the village at its disposal, including both inside and outside venues.
