Malcolm Underwood
Malcolm's acting debut with the company was as King George III (pictured right) in THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III. Other roles include Ebenezer Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Ben Weatherstaff in THE SECRET GARDEN and TREASURE ISLAND (Captain Smollett).
Acting roles for other companies include THE CRUCIBLE and CATCH 22 with a graduate drama group. Other appearances include roles in THE SHOEMAKER'S HOLIDAY, THE MISER, THE RULING CLASS, THE WINTER'S TALE and TWELFTH NIGHT.
He acted sporadically during the 1980s and early 1990s, including a cameo role as a member of a pop band in THE LAST AMATEUR PANTOMIME.
Since his portrayal Of George III he has appeared in AMADEUS (Mozart), A TALE
OF TWO CITIES (Jarvis Lorry), MURDER IN THE CATHEDRAL (Becket), PHILADELPHIA
HERE I COME! (for The Irish Theatre Group), THE ALCHEMIST and THE MERCHANT OF
VENICE (for The Cambridge Arts Trust).
