
Mavis Perkins
Mavis has a long list of acting roles to her credit having appeared in
many productions for several companies including, for Bawds, SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL (Mrs
Trip), THE LARK (Agnes Sorel) , LUCKY SODS (Mother), A
CHRISTMAS CAROL (Narrator), THE ELEPHANT MAN (Miss Sandwich), TIME OF MY LIFE
(Betty, a customer in the restaurant), THE TINDERBOX & OTHER STORIES (pictured
right as Queen Magda) and LITTLE WOMEN (Aunt Carol).
Other productions include TOM JONES (Mrs Fitzpartrick), THE WHITE FALCON
(Anne Boleyn), HAY FEVER (Judith Bliss), STEVIE (Aunt), PERICLES
(Goddess), THE MAN
WHO CAME TO DINNER (Harriet Stanley), LETTERS HOME (Sylvia Plath's Mother) and
GREAT EXPECTATIONS (Miss Sarah Pocket).
Mavis has also appeared in several one-act plays including THE LONG CHRISTMAS
DINNER, GETTING AND SPENDING, NOT BOBBY, BRIGHT GLADE and BABOUSHKA (in the
title role). Her directing credits include SPRING 1600, THE MIRACLE WORKER,
BARNSTABLE, HOW'S THE WORLD TREATING YOU? and HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES. Mavis is
a regular contributor to Cambridge Talking News For The Blind.
