Our Patrons

We are delighted that Andrew Motion and Clive Swift have agreed to be our Patrons

Andrew Motion, the Poet Laureate

Mr Motion was in the audience for the our production of North of Boston during the 2003 Edinburgh Festival.
He was impressed by what he saw and spoke to members of the group after the show.
He said he found their performance “deeply moving”.

Andrew Motion became Poet Laureate in 1999, succeeding Ted Hughes.
He is an acclaimed poet and the distinguished biographer of Larkin and Keats.
His memoir, In the Blood, is now published.
In 2005 he read from this work at the ADC in Cambridge where we present most of our shows.
