Richard Peoples

Richard's directing debut for Bawds was THE SEA. An early acting role for the company was A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE (Immigration Officer). His most recent appearance was in  DAVID COPPERFIELD (pictured right as Dr Chillip). Other directing credits for Bawds include LANDSCAPE and a Harold Pinter Double Bill CELEBRATION and MONOLOGUE. In Spring 2009 he will be directing THE LADY IN THE VAN.

Richard has been involved in amateur theatre for more than 30 years, initially as an actor in a wide range of roles for companies in Hereford, Peterborough, Stamford and Oakham and more recently as a writer and director.

Directing credits for other companies include THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND, AFTER MAGRITTE, PASSION PLAY, his own plays MARA and CRITS,  PARTY PIECE and HUMBLE BOY. He has also run drama events, acting and writing workshops for various drama groups and for the Open University.
