SEAN BAKER

Sean made his first appearance for Bawds in THE LADY IN THE VAN (Rufus). Other roles for the company include ABSENT FRIENDS (John), TERRA NOVA (pictured left as Henry R. 'Birdie' Bowers), WYRD SISTERS (Duke Felmet), CALENDAR GIRLS (Lawrence),THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP (Short), MASKERADE (Coachman / Mr Goatberger / Cpl. Nobbs) and WAITING FOR LEFTY (Voice / Irv). Sean's One-Act Play ANYONE CAN DANCE was awarded Best New Play and Second Place at the 2017 Sawston Drama Festival & Best New Play and Second Place at the Cambridge Drama Festival 2017).

Sean made his directorial debut for Bawds with his original play THE LAST TOSS OF THE COIN and followed this with IS THIS SEAT TAKEN? (3rd Place and Best Set Design - Sawston Drama Festival 2015 : Best Actress, Lindsey McAuley and Backstage Award - Cambridge Drama Festival 2015 - Sean also won the Best New Play Award at Welwyn Drama Festival 2015). Other directing credits for the company include ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS

Appearances for other companies include SOUTH PACIFIC (Luther Bilis), IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY (Dr Mortimer), CASH ON DELIVERY (Norman), CAUGHT IN THE ACT(Stanley),  ĎALLO, ĎALLO (Bertorelli), THE RIVALS (Fag), HABEAS CORPUS (Denzil Shanks), PUT THAT LIGHT OUT (Various Characters) and OH! WHAT A LOVELY WAR (Various Characters).  Directing credits include FARNDALE AVENUE ...MURDER MYSTERY.

In addition to directing his two one act plays, Sean's other directing credits include OUTSIDE EDGE and THE HOLE.

Sean has also written and directed eight pantomimes: PUSS IN BOOTS, BABES IN THE WOOD, DICK WHITTINGTON, SLEEPING BEAUTY (NODA best panto winner), PETER PAN, ALADDIN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and CINDERELLA (NODA best panto winner).
