Stephen is also the author of a number one act and full-length plays, several of which have been published: these include, THE LAST RESORT, BOXED IN (Charles), MISMATCH, PARENTCRAFT, ONE-SIDED TRIANGLE, DEPARTURE, TWICE BITTEN ONCE SHY (Dave), PLAYING AWAY, BENEATH THE SURFACE, BACKGROUND ARTIST, ON LOCATION, PENALTY, A GAME OF THREE HALVES ( a full-length play in which he played Howard), FAST FOOD AND SMALL TALK a double-bill of two one-act plays EIGHT SECONDS and BARBECUE, BAR TALK a double-bill of two one-act plays ONE MISTAKE and PSYCHIC BABBLE, ANNIVERSARY (Winner Best New Play,Sawston Drama Festival 2010 and Second Place at Cambridge Drama Festival 2010) and ARRIVAL.

Directing credits include, THE WINSLOW BOY, THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND, BLACK COMEDY, DRINKING COMPANION & MOTHER FIGURE, NOBODY'S PERFECT and ARRIVAL. Since 2011 Stephen has been director of Big Squirrel Productions who toured A Middle-Aged Man`s Uncertainty Theory in 2011/12 and will this year take his latest play CHRYSALIS to Edinburgh.
